About
Why We Garden
We’ve learned that life is simply better when we stay connected to the natural world. When we let nature into our imagination, we start to move with the seasons, find joy in small discoveries, and feel a deeper sense of purpose in our homes, families, and communities.
We garden because it reminds us that sustainability isn’t abstract—it’s a choice we make every day. Healthy soil can hold more water, store more carbon, and nourish our communities. Caring for it is one of the most hopeful things we can do.
We grew up in farmers' markets, greenhouses, gardens, and small family businesses. That upbringing shaped our belief that education—especially when children and adults learn side by side - can make communities more resilient.
At Joyful Plant, we garden to reconnect, imagine, nourish, and help build a world that can thrive.
