Welcome
Healthy Successful Artists
(Joyful Plant's Gardening through Art Community)
Are you a healthy, successful artist? (Or are you moving in that direction?)
Do you ever feel like our society is detached from nature?
What might it feel like to live every day true to your intuition, place, and season?
How do you know when you're accomplishing your life's dreams and purpose?
If you are worn out on the "starving artist" mindset, perhaps you are ready to roll up your sleeves and show the world how to live well by nature.
Healthy Successful Artists is a community for people who
are interested in the Joyful Plant Method
and want to gather, share, and be inspired.
- Therapeutic Arts
- Nature Activities
- Clean Eating Ideas
- Seasonal Gardening Guide
- Life Recipes for all kinds of know-how

Hello, I am Elise. Here is my backstory:
My given name is Elise Watness. One translation of my first name means "my God is abundance" and my maiden name is Norwegian for "water place." I mention this is because I think it is time for us here to creatively ignite a passion for stewardship, permanently reversing the effects of Climate Change.
I believe we are capable as humans to be smart enough to steward the Earth well with locally produced food, prosperous creative economies, and long-term health. I believe we can do this by aligning on fun ways to grow and gather food, create wealth through ancestral wisdom, and manage our resources in a way that is hospitable to our neighbors and the planet. I am a mama, painter, printmaker, writer, and Montessori guide. I started Joyful Plant as a Farmers Market booth. With the advent of the pandemic, it merged to teach online watercolor garden classes.
